The charity depends on private sponsorship for its funding and because of this, places are necessarily restricted.
Each year LFA will present their project to all Year 12 students during their Liberal Studies period as this ensures maximum attendance. At this Presentation, application forms will be made available and instructions given on application deadlines. Each school has an appointed coordinator through whom applications are submitted.
The LFA Trustees will use various criteria to select students based on the charity’s ethos of fostering understanding and tolerance between peoples. We will aim to select as diverse a group of students as possible using race, religion, culture, gender etc. as a basis for selection. We will also seek the personal recommendation of the school coordinators where possible to help us achieve the diversity we seek within the group.
I would definitely recommend people to go if they get a chance to because it will change them for the good and show them that life isn’t about getting what you want whenever you want it, it’s about living and being happy with what you got and making the most of it
